About Nan

Author of the best selling dog book, Chill Out Fido! How to Calm Your Dog, Nan brings 23 years of experience to Beacon of Hope Dog Behavior and Training. Nan works with other dog professionals, shelter employees/ volunteers, and dog owners to help them understand the science of dog behavior.

What Nan Does

Nan's goal is to help pet parents and the San Diego County community understand dogs and their behaviors. 

Nan offers seminars, workshops, phone or video consultations, private in-person consultations,  and on-going training to bring understanding into dog behavior and training.
